The Small Print
Where do we deliver?
We can only arrange delivery to addresses within the UK mainland and surcharges may apply to deliveries to UK islands, Northern Ireland and the Highlands of Scotland (please ask for deails). We cannot ship to overseas addresses but are happy to ship to your friends or family in the UK so that they can pass them on to you.
How much does it cost?
We offer free local delivery to Lancaster, Kendal and surrounding areas - we will make such deliveries personally when we are next passing.
Outside of our local area we charge just £4.95 for delivering a case of 12 bottles direct to your door.
The charges for less than 12 bottles are as follows
6 to 11 bottles = £7.30; 1 to 5 bottles = £9.30;
How soon will I get my wine?
We will email you to confirm shipment of your wine and advise an anticipated deliver date, usually within 2 or 3 working days between 8.00am and 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays. We use the next day service of a national courier and aim to make all deliveries within 5 working days. If you have any special requirements regarding delivery please contact us and we will do our best to oblige.
Can I have my wine delivered to a different address?
We are happy to deliver your wine to any UK address that you specify, a work address is often the fastest and most convenient. If you cannot guarantee to be at home all day we will leave your order with a neighbour or you can specify that it is left, without a signature, in a garage etc. Please put any special delivery instructions in the box provided on your order form.
My wine has been received in a poor or damaged condition, what can I do?
All our wines are despatched in secure, well marked, sturdy cases, our carriers are aware of the contents and there have been very few mishaps. However there is bound to be an occasion when a case is delivered damaged and you have the option to
refuse delivery, the carrier will return the goods to us and we will arrange an alternative delivery.
accept the delivery but sign stating that the goods are damaged, notify us and we will send replacement bottles or arrange a refund for the damaged goods.
In any event please notify us of any damage as soon as possible and, preferably, within 48 hours.
