French Regional Wines is a family business and aims to make your shopping experience as safe and pleasurable as possible.

We abide by The Data Protection Act, The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and all applicable UK law. We are also members of The Wine and Spirit Trade Association.

Your Statutory rights are not affected by any of the following terms and conditions.

Ordering Online

Ordering online with us is safe and secure! We employ a method of interaction with our visitors that does not compromise credit card information. This online system is 100% secure.

Placing an order

By placing an order you are confirming that you are over the age of 18. We reserve the right to refuse an order. Orders can be placed securely online and payment may be made by debit or credit card or, if you prefer, there is an option to pay by cheque. You can also place an order by telephone (01524 33724) email (john@french-regional-wines.co.uk) or fax (0870 762 5014). If you choose to order by phone, email or fax we will contact you to arrange the method of payment.

Order Confirmation

Your order will be confirmed by email . The confirmation will include our full contact details, description of the wines selected, cost of the wines, delivery charges, payment method and anticipated delivery date. You will also be informed of your rights to cancel. We do not substitute wines without your prior consent.

Where do we deliver?

We can only arrange delivery to addresses within the UK mainland and surcharges may apply to deliveries to UK islands, Northern Ireland and the Highlands of Scotland (please ask for deails). We cannot ship to overseas addresses but are happy to ship to your friends or family in the UK so that they can pass them on to you.

How much does delivery cost?

We offer free delivery on orders geater than £150 in value.
We also offer free local delivery. In this context "free local delivery" is applicable to Lancaster, Kendal and surrounding areas along with the Ribble Valley and East Lancashire - we will make such deliveries personally when we are next passing. Outside of our local area we charge just £4.95 for delivering a case of 12 bottles direct to your door.

The charges for less than 12 bottles are as follows

11 = £5.65; 10 = £6.50; 9 = £7.30; 8 = £8.15; 7 = £9.00; 6 = £6.85; 5 = £7.70; 4 = £8.50; 3 = £9.30; 2 = £10.15; 1 bottle = £10.95;

When will my wine be delivered?

We will email you to confirm shipment of your wine and advise an anticipated deliver date, usually within 2 or 3 working days between 8.00am and 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays. We use the next day service of a national courier and aim to make all deliveries within 5 working days. If you have any special requirements regarding delivery please contact us and we will do our best to oblige.

Can I have the wine delivered to a different address?

We are happy to deliver your wine to any UK address that you specify, a work address is often the fastest and most convenient. If you cannot guarantee to be at home all day we will leave your order with a neighbour or you can specify that it is left, without a signature, in a garage etc. Please put any special delivery instructions in the box provided on your order form.

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your order up to 7 days following delivery of your order. If you cancel before despatch you will be given an immediate refund. If you cancel after your wines have been delivered you have an obligation to keep the wines safe and secure until we can arrange collection, which is usually within 5 working days. Collection costs are £12 per case and are at your expense. Your payment will be refunded as soon as possible and within a maximum of 30 days of cancellation.

Returns

We make every effort to ensure that our wines arrive in good condition and will provide a full refund for any wines that are faulty as a result of the winemaking process. Please note that faulty wines may have to be returned to us and we will arange collection at a mutually convenient time.

The drinking windows for wine vary a great deal, the majority of wines are meant to be drunk within a couple of years of bottling whilst others can be stored for many years. There is no defined limit on our period of guarantee and much depends on the particular wine but we do ask that customers store their wines in acceptable conditions.

Please note that crystaline deposits in wine are a natural part of the development of a wine in the bottle and do not affect taste or quality.

Prices

Goods are charged at price shown on the product pages on the date the customer places the order and are incclusive of VAT. Prices are correct at time of publication. Errors and omissions are excepted.

Complaints

We are a small company and place a great deal of emphasis on customer satisfaction. In the event that you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service please contact us by email, telephone, fax or post. Any complaints will be dealt with promptly, confidentially and effectively (within 5 working days).

Product Availability

All goods are offered subject to remaining unsold on a ""first come, first served"" basis. All orders are subject to a final confirmation email from us. We will not substitute any goods without your express permission. In the event that goods are out of stock you will be given the opportunity to re-order when replenishment stock is available.
